Eating lunch at an architectural treasure in Downtown Houston brings a sacred moment for me as I walk the grounds.
I pass the chapel and see a priest leading a small service, while people mingle in the courtyard, talking on their cell phones. I pray a silent prayer.
An old Episcopal church named, Christ Church Cathedral operates food service in the church’s restaurant, The Cloister (where Treebeards serves their menu), in a unique setting of the church’s social hall. To dine there is truly an experience worth the visit, as your body and soul are nourished while observing the surroundings.
Take time this Advent season to quiet your soul among the sacred, even in the most unexpected places.
